Ed Blake was elected to the Isle of Wight Council on 21 Decmember 2023. He is a local resident and Ventnor businessmen.
Ed’s background is firmly embedded in the Ventnor community, with his family resident on the Island since 1830. Ed works as a commercial fisherman out of Ventnor within the family business. In his spare time, Ed plays rugby for Ventnor RFC and he was made Chairman of the club in 2017, and has overseen the merger with Ventnor FC and Ventnor YFC.
"I believe that Ventnor and St Lawrence needs a councillor who has lived here for their whole life and understands the priorities of local people, and who can be a strong and effective voice on your behalf from day one. I am honoured to represent this area on the Isle of Wight Council."
