Clare Mosdell has been elected as the new Group Leader of the Isle of Wight Council Conservatives. Clare is the councillor for Newchurch, Havenstreet & Ashey and was first elected in May 2017 and re-elected in May 2021.
Clare is born and bred locally, and also serves on Newchurch Parish Council.
My main priority is to ensure that each member of our group can be given the best platforms available to represent the residents of their wards and that communication is improved across the whole council. Any motions to Full Council will be meaningful and beneficial to Island Residents. I believe in democracy and all voices and opinions should be heard for well-balanced decisions to be made for now and the future of the Island and all that reside here.
